Four Reasons to Choose Data Recovery Specialists

We’re a trusted and established team
Data Recovery Specialists are proud to be one of the industry leaders in data recovery. Established in 1996, we’re committed to providing as smooth, professional, hassle-free service for all of our clients. Our data recovery technicians have decades of experience working with all kinds of storage devices, from hard disk drives (HDDs) and solid-state drives (SSDs) to SD cards, USB flash drives, RAID arrays, CDs, DVDs tape drives, and more.

You can trust us with your data
One of the most important factors when choosing a data recovery service is data security, and at Data Recovery Specialists, we put confidentiality at the heart of all of our operations. Our data recovery lab is ISO 270001 and 9001 certified, meaning your data will always be secure. Our data recovery technicians regularly deal with confidential data from big name organisations like the NHS and Tottenham Hotspur, so you can rest assured that your data will be afforded the same confidentiality. Most of the data we handle is sensitive; whether it’s financial records, personal documents, photos or videos. In addition, we adhere to the Chief of Police Officers guidelines.

We provide a free diagnostic and file listing
We understand that you need to know exactly what we can recover before you part with any cash. That’s why at Data Recovery Specialists, we provide a free diagnostic assessment, file listing, and a no-obligation quote to complete the data recovery. It’s difficult for us to provide an exact cost for the work without seeing the media in question, but one of our operations team will be able to give you a ballpark figure. For an exact cost, simply send your media into one of our offices, and our data recovery team will then work the ascertain what the fault is. We’ll also provide a list of recoverable files along with a no-obligation quote. If you wish to accept, we’ll press on with the last steps of recovery, if not, we’ll send your media back to you free of charge, or if you wish, you can come and collect it in person. We aim to complete all hard drive recovery assessments within 24-48 hours, but for other media like solid-state drives (SSDs), it may be slightly longer. We also provide an express service if you’re really pushed for time.

Our facilities are state-of-the-art
Our technicians undertake all hard drive recovery work in our Class 100 Clean Room. Because hard drives are not designed to be disassembled, it’s important when they are to work in a controlled environment. Class 100 simply means there is always less than 100 particles of dust per cubic foot, but there’s usually way fewer. Hard drive read/write heads hover just a fraction of a millimetre above the magnetic platters where your data is stored, so even a small particle of dust can be catastrophic. Taking your hard drive apart at home and attempting to repair physical damage – like a head crash – risks any chance of a professional being able to recover your data later down the line.
